Solicitor

I am a solicitor in the firm’s family team, advising clients across a broad range of private and public family law matters. I act for parents, other family members and accept instructions from local authorities. I routinely deal with complex and emotionally demanding cases where clear, practical advice is essential.

My practice spans private law children disputes, public law care proceedings, and cases involving allegations of domestic abuse, coercive control and stalking. I have particular experience in matters involving non-agency adoptions, special guardianship assessments, allegations of alienating behaviours, surrogacy and same-sex parentage.

I am also frequently instructed in cases with international elements, including applications for the permanent relocation of children abroad and international child abduction matters, including those involving non-Hague Convention countries.

In addition to children work, I advise on divorce and relationship breakdown, including annulments, judicial separation and divorce cases involving religious or cultural sensitivities.

I regularly act in financial remedy proceedings, including complex cases involving significant pension assets, business interests, allegations of dissipation of matrimonial assets, and applications for urgent relief such as section 37 freezing orders.

My approach to financial cases is pragmatic and solutions-focused, with a clear emphasis on protecting clients’ positions while keeping costs proportionate.

I began my legal career in 2015 and qualified as a solicitor in 2022. Over the course of my career, I have represented clients in multi-day hearings and complex proceedings involving gravely serious allegations of harm, psychiatric and cognitive issues, litigation capacity, fabricated or induced illness and public interest immunity.

I take pride in meticulous preparation, clear drafting and a calm, compassionate approach, and I regularly appear in the Family Court at all levels.

I hold a first-class LLB (Hons) in Law from Manchester Metropolitan University and undertook the Legal Practice Course at BPP University. I am committed to providing high-quality client care and guiding clients through what are often some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking in the Lake District, gaming, attending gigs and travelling. I also value spending time with family and friends and am frequently terrorised by three canine cohabitees.
